My Parcel Is Not Tracking. What Should I Do?
Entered your tracking number but got 'No Information'? Don't panic. It could be a typo, a carrier delay, or a system glitch. Follow our 5-step troubleshooting guide to find out why your parcel isn't tracking and how to fix it.
You entered your number, clicked search, and saw the dreaded message: "Not Found" or "No Information." As a specialized online service provider, we understand how stressful this is. However, a lack of tracking data does not always mean your package is lost.
There are several technical and human reasons our package tracking system might not have your shipment listed yet. Let's troubleshoot the most common causes step by step.
Reason 1: Simple Typos (Input Error)
This happens more often than you think. If you typed the number manually, double-check it. Tracking codes are complex combinations of letters and numbers, and it is easy to mix them up.
Common mistakes to watch for:
- The uppercase letter "O" looks like the number "0" (zero);
- The lowercase letter "l" (L) looks like the uppercase "I" (i) or the number "1" (one);
- Extra spaces at the beginning or end of the number.
Check these characters carefully and try to track and trace the item again. If you copied and pasted the number, ensure you didn't accidentally copy a blank space.
Reason 2: The "Label Created" Delay
If you just bought an item from a marketplace like AliExpress, Temu, or Wish, and the tracking shows nothing, this is normal. Sellers often generate a tracking number electronically days before they actually hand the box to the courier.
Until the physical parcel is scanned by the logistics company, their information system remains empty. To us, it looks like the parcel doesn't exist yet.
Solution: Do not panic if you see "Pre-shipment" or "Label Created." We recommend waiting 3 to 5 business days after receiving the number. If there is still no movement after a week, contact the seller.
Reason 3: Incorrect or Fake Number
If you have waited a week and checked for typos, the number itself might be invalid. The seller may have given you the wrong code by mistake, or in worse cases, a fake one.
- Request a photo of the shipping receipt or label from the seller to verify the number;
- If the seller refuses or the number format looks strange, check our guide on identifying fake tracking numbers.
Reason 4: Carrier Auto-Detection Failed
Our web application is designed to automatically recognize the carrier based on the number format. However, with thousands of transport companies in the world, some formats overlap.
If our system cannot identify the courier automatically, try selecting the carrier manually from the list below the search bar. If you know who is shipping your package (e.g., Yanwen or 4PX), select them directly.
Reason 5: Expired or Technical Issues
Sometimes the issue is purely technical:
- Too Old: If the parcel was delivered months ago, carriers often delete the data from their servers to save space. We cannot retrieve deleted history;
- Server Maintenance: Transport companies sometimes update their websites. If their site is down, we cannot pull the data.
If you cannot track the parcel on our website, try checking the official carrier's site directly. If it works there but not here, please report the issue to us. We monitor all carriers in our catalog daily and usually fix such connection errors within 24 hours.
Most of the time, the issue is simply a delay in the carrier's first scan. Give it a few days. Once the data appears, don't forget to save the number in our management system to keep an eye on it until delivery.
