To request a refund, start by verifying that the item is eligible for return by reviewing Walmart's standard return policy.
Refunds are generally issued to your original payment method. However, please note that outbound shipping charges are usually non-refundable. If you cancel an order before it ships, the authorization hold on your card will simply be released. If the item has already shipped, you cannot cancel it, but you can return it for a refund once it arrives.
How to Print Return Labels for Online Orders
When you initiate a return, you will receive an email containing the label. You can print this directly from the email or through your account. Follow these steps:
- Go to your Purchase History on the website or app;
- Locate and select the specific item you want to return;
- Click "Start a return";
- Select the reason for the return from the dropdown menu;
- Choose whether you want a refund or a replacement;
- Select your preferred return method and click "Save";
- Review the details and print your label.
If you are returning multiple items, you may need to repeat these steps for each product.
Available Return Methods
Depending on the item, you will see up to three options:
- Return to Store (bring the item and your return email barcode to any Walmart Customer Service desk);
- Schedule a Pickup (arrange for a driver to collect the package from your home - repackaging is required);
- Return by Mail (print the label, attach it to the box, and drop it off at a USPS or FedEx location).
If your item is oversized or cannot be taken to a local carrier, please contact customer care for special assistance.
